In a recent training session, after she learned how the SaS Compass works, here is what a Registered Dietitian had to say:
“You know, the minute one of my clients presents me with a health challenge, I immediately think of what food choices they could change in order to resolve it. I’m typically not comfortable looking outside my area of expertise to help them find solutions, but this may be just the tool I need to be able to do so moving forward.”
Hearing her comment, a yoga instructor then added, “I can relate. Whenever I hear of a health issue anyone has, my first thought is to wonder what pose could alleviate his or her symptoms. But I now see how I can look beyond yoga and expand on the solutions I propose.”
These two wellness professionals are experts in their fields. They know their stuff inside and out, and they keep learning constantly. They find valuable solutions for the people they serve.
The challenge for wellness professionals is that adding new tools isn’t easy. With today’s information overload, keeping up with the latest research in any given domain in order to maintain current expertise can be a full-time job in itself, never mind exploring new fields.
The SaS process alleviates that challenge. Through understanding how other areas influence your own and vice-versa, you can more easily branch out. You don’t need to know all the ins and outs of every domain. Thinking about the interactions that may be at play already helps you ask new relevant questions. With a little SaS help, you can explore new potential avenues to healthy living.
